Group Management Accountant
Our finance team keeps a fast-growing, multi-currency e-commerce group reporting accurately and on time — and this role sits at the heart of it. As Group Management Accountant, you'll own the month-end close and Group consolidation, and take full responsibility for how transfer pricing, intercompany margin and management charges are applied across our entities. It's a role for a qualified accountant who wants real ownership of a reporting cycle, not just a seat in it.
What you'll be doing
• Own the month-end close for all Group entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, delivered to a fixed reporting timetable.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for each Group entity — income statement, balance sheet and cash flow — with commentary against budget and prior year.
• Own the Group consolidation end to end, including elimination of intercompany balances and transactions, currency translation and preparation of consolidated results.
• Own the practical application of the Group transfer pricing policy, calculating, posting and reviewing transfer pricing adjustments and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Calculate and review intercompany margin on stock and service flows between Group entities, ensuring it is correctly eliminated on consolidation.
• Own the calculation, invoicing and posting of management charges and recharges across Group entities.
• Act as the point of contact for auditors and external advisers on consolidation, intercompany and transfer pricing matters.
Skills, knowledge & expertise
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience of month-end close and reporting in a multi-entity group.
• Hands-on experience of consolidation and intercompany accounting; experience of transfer pricing and management charges is a strong plus.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with an ERP or mid-market accounting system.
• Comfortable owning deadlines and working accurately without close supervision.
• Multi-currency and international experience, ideally within e-commerce, retail or consumer products.
