Bailey Abbott now have an exciting opportunity for a Test Analyst to join us on a 6 month contract basis.
Working as a Test Analyst you will get the opportunity to:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, test scripts and test scenarios across a range of digital transformation initiatives.
- Review business, functional and technical requirements to confirm testability, identify gaps and ensure appropriate test coverage.
- Perform system, integration, regression and production verification testing, while supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Identify, document, prioritise and track defects and issues, working with delivery teams through to resolution and retesting.
- Prepare and maintain high-quality testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, execution results and traceability artefacts.
- Undertake test data preparation, validation and reconciliation to support accurate and reliable testing outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, developers, vendors and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, risks, issues, defects and outcomes, providing clear insights to project stakeholders.
- Support testing governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with established testing standards and processes.
- Work across multiple projects and technology environments, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support the successful delivery of high-quality digital solutions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, with an ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent testing qualification highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience as a Test Analyst within medium to large ICT projects, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC and quality assurance principles.
- Proven experience developing and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts across functional, integration, regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Strong experience using test and defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, with the ability to analyse requirements, investigate defects and produce clear testing documentation and reports.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including experience validating data and working with SQL or similar database technologies.
