Mō te tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Desktop Automation Engineer specialist to help deliver, support, and continuously improve the workplace technology services that enable our people to work efficiently, securely, and confidently.

This role brings together hands-on desktop Engineer and end-user support with modern capabilities across Microsoft 365, AI enablement, automation, analytics, reporting, and knowledge management. You will play a key part in improving employee experience, simplifying support processes, and helping teams adopt smarter ways of working.


The technical expertise we are looking for

  • Deliver and support enterprise desktop services, endpoint tools, and workplace technology platforms.

  • Support Microsoft 365 administration across identity, collaboration, security, licensing, and modern workplace services.

  • Design, configure, and improve Microsoft Copilot agents, prompts, workflows, and AI-assisted support experiences.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through scripting, Power Automate, workflow automation, and continuous service improvement.

  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, operational reporting, executive scorecards, and data insights.

  • Develop knowledge articles, runbooks, technical documentation, and self-service support content.

  • Support ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, knowledge management, workflow improvements, and service management practices.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • Strong experience in desktop Engineer, end-user support, endpoint tools, and Microsoft 365 administration.

  • Knowledge of Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Active Directory, PowerShell, and modern workplace services.

  • Experience using AI tools, automation, scripting, reporting, or workflow design to improve support outcomes.

  • Ability to analyse ticket, incident, chat, and knowledge data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear knowledge articles, runbooks, and support documentation.

  • Sound judgement when applying AI and automation, with awareness of risk, quality, privacy, security, and escalation needs.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, organisation, and time management skills.
