We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Head of Business Partnering to lead and embed a high-performing finance business partnering function across FirstCape.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for enabling better decision-making, strengthening financial performance, and ensuring alignment between business strategy and execution. Working closely with business CEOs and senior leaders, you will provide commercial insight, support strategic planning, and drive a forward-looking, value-focused approach to business performance.
As a senior leader within Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping enterprise-wide performance outcomes, influencing investment decisions, and fostering a culture of commercial accountability and continuous improvement. You will also lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, building capability and embedding best-practice partnering across the organisation.

- Lead and embed a best-practice finance business partnering model across the organisation.
- Partner with business CEOs and leadership teams to translate strategy into financial plans, investment priorities, and performance measures.
- Provide commercial and financial input into business cases, investment decisions, and benefit realisation initiatives.
- Deliver high-quality, forward-looking financial insights and scenario analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Drive alignment between strategy, planning, forecasting, and performance outcomes.
- Provide an enterprise-wide view of business performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and value creation initiatives.
- Influence executive and senior stakeholders through trusted relationships, clear communication, and commercial insight.
- Support business leaders in improving financial discipline, accountability, and return on investment.
- Champion the use of data, analytics, technology, and automation to improve insight generation and decision support.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners while fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strong financial governance, commercial rigour, and disciplined decision-making across the organisation.

You will be a strategic finance leader with a strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving commercial outcomes through effective business partnering.
Key skills and experience include:
- Extensive experience in finance business partnering or commercially focused finance leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong executive-level stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Deep understanding of business performance drivers, value creation, and commercial decision-making.
- Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, scenario planning, and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting strategy development, business planning, and enterprise performance management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights.
- A commercially focused mindset, coupled with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive better outcomes.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA or equivalent preferred).
