Regional Commissioning Manager

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Regional Commissioning Manager to join our team. This position will play a key leadership role in the successful delivery of commissioning activities across multiple data centre projects within a designated region.
The Regional Commissioning Manager will provide strategic oversight, governance, and technical leadership to commissioning teams, ensuring consistent standards, programme alignment, and successful project delivery across the regional portfolio. This role will involve travel across the different projects within a particular region.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, support and oversight to Commissioning Managers and Commissioning Engineers across multiple projects within the region.
- Develop and implement regional commissioning strategies, standards, procedures and best practices to ensure consistency of delivery across all projects.
- Oversee commissioning programmes, milestones and critical path activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and business objectives.
- Act as the primary escalation point for commissioning-related risks, technical challenges and stakeholder issues across the regional portfolio.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, vendors and project teams, ensuring commissioning requirements are clearly communicated and achieved.
- Oversee commissioning activities for both CFCI and OFCI packages, ensuring successful integration, testing, validation and handover of systems.
- Lead commissioning design reviews, FATs, FWTs, integrated systems testing and final commissioning activities where required.
- Ensure commissioning documentation, test scripts, compliance records, sign-off documentation and handover packages are completed in accordance with client and project requirements.
- Monitor commissioning performance through KPI reporting, risk management and regular progress reviews with senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Project Directors, Construction, QA/QC, Engineering and Operations teams to drive successful project delivery and operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements, commissioning procedures, safety standards and client specifications.
- Promote a culture of safety, technical excellence, continuous improvement and best practice throughout the commissioning function.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related industry experience.
- 10+ years' experience in commissioning, with significant experience in a leadership role within data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and integrated systems commissioning.
- Proven experience managing commissioning teams and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong client-facing, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of commissioning procedures, quality processes, project controls and programme management.
- Strong knowledge of EHS requirements associated with mechanical and electrical commissioning activities.
