You will partner closely with Revenue Operations (Billings & Collections), Deal Desk, Business Technology, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Sales, and other key stakeholders to influence and drive results for a wide array of business initiatives. In this role, you will oversee revenue recognition, contract reviews, and automation projects while supporting the maintenance of global revenue accounting policies and procedures. As part of our Finance team, you will contribute to the month-end close process, quarterly filings, and ad hoc requests, bringing technical ability and critical thinking to bridge the gap between operations, controls, and regulatory compliance.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement of revenue accounting processes, systems, and documentation to support a growing multi-product and consumption-based business model.

  • Lead monthly revenue close activities, including the review of variance analyses, reconciliations, and SOX controls.

  • Own and maintain the Company’s revenue recognition policy and other related policies (e.g., Gross vs. Net, contract combination, consideration payable, AR Reserve).

  • Manage quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including preparation of footnote disclosures, maintaining internal controls, and coordinating with internal and external auditors.

  • Design and implement scalable revenue accounting solutions that support new product launches and growth across reseller organizations.

  • Collaborate with business technology, engineering, and key business owners to drive key system initiatives and improvements, including the optimization of the revenue recognition engine.

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules, specifically ASC 606 and consumption-based revenue recognition standards.

  • Experience with NetSuite, Zuora, and Roadrunner CPQ.

  • Experience with systems implementations.

  • Experience with a Big-4 or equivalent national accounting firm.

  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
