At the heart of everything we do is our vision to change lives every day, and our mission to grow The National Lottery responsibly and champion its impact.

We are Allwyn UK, part of the Allwyn Entertainment Group – a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence across the USA (Michigan and Illinois) and Europe, including Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Cyprus and Italy.

While the main contribution of The National Lottery to society is through the funds to good causes, at Allwyn we put our purpose and values at the heart of everything we do.  Join us as we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime, largescale transformation journey by creating a National Lottery that delivers more money to good causes.

We’ll talk a bit more about us further down the page, but for now – let’s talk about the role and who we’re looking for…

A bit about the role

This role sits at the centre of the Impact function, responsible for ensuring communications activity is aligned, integrated and visible across teams. Reporting to the Planning Director, you will work closely with the Director of Communications, Chief Impact Officer and leaders across Impact to connect campaigns, content and priorities into a joined-up communications plan.

You'll play a critical role in coordinating planning cycles, maintaining communications roadmaps, supporting governance and leadership reporting, and ensuring communications activity is aligned to business priorities and audience needs.

Working across Consumer, Corporate and Internal Communications, Social Value and Brand and Marketing, you'll help maximise the reach, effectiveness and impact of communications activity while providing clear performance reporting and actionable insight to senior stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

Communications Planning and Integration

  • Manage and maintain the Communications roadmap, ensuring activity is prioritised, connected and aligned across the Impact function.
  • Coordinate integrated communications planning across Consumer, Corporate and Internal Communications, Brand and Marketing and Social Value teams.
  • Identify opportunities for integrated, social-first and audience-led campaigns that bring together good causes, winners, social value and relevant cultural moments.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to develop and amplify stories relating to winners, good causes, social value initiatives and broader business priorities.
  • Monitor industry trends, audience behaviours and communications best practice to identify opportunities to increase reach and effectiveness.

Planning and Operations

  • Lead and coordinate annual, quarterly and ongoing planning processes across the Impact function.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear activity plans, timelines and delivery roadmaps.
  • Support the Director of Communications and Chief Impact Officer with priority initiatives, leadership materials and cross-functional coordination.
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges across multiple workstreams.
  • Build strong relationships across Communications, Marketing, Social Value and wider business teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Support teams in ensuring communications activity and messaging remain aligned across audiences and channels.

Measurement and Insight

  • Lead KPI reporting across the Impact function, providing visibility of performance, risks, opportunities and progress against objectives.
  • Oversee campaign measurement and analytics tools, ensuring data is used effectively to inform future planning and decision making.
  • Translate communications, campaign and reputation performance data into meaningful insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

What experience we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in communications planning, integrated campaigns, corporate communications, public relations, corporate affairs or brand communications.
  • Experience gained in-house or agency-side within communications-led environments.
  • Experience developing and coordinating integrated communications plans across multiple audiences and channels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong planning, organisation and project management skills.
  • Experience working across multiple teams and competing priorities in a matrix environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and executive stakeholders.

Key Measures of Success:

  • Clear, integrated communications planning across the Impact function.
  • Improved alignment of campaigns, communications and storytelling across channels and audiences.
  • Successful annual and quarterly planning cycles with clear stakeholder accountability.
  • Increased reach, impact and effectiveness through data-led decisions.
  • Robust KPI reporting that supports leadership decision making.
  • Strong collaboration across Communications, Brand & Marketing, Social Value and wider business functions.
  • Effective support for the Director of Communications and Chief Impact Officer on strategic priorities
