Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to deliver landmark commercial projects with one of New Zealand's most respected main contractors?

Due to a pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint an accomplished Project Manager to join their Bay of Plenty team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of major commercial construction projects while working within a business renowned for delivering quality, building long-term relationships, and investing in its people.

The Role Reporting to senior management, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading project delivery from planning through to completion
  • Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
  • Driving quality outcomes across all stages of construction
  • Managing project risks, procurement and contractual obligations
  • Coordinating site teams and ensuring programme milestones are achieved
  • Monitoring health & safety and ensuring compliance with New Zealand regulations
  • Leading project reporting and maintaining clear communication with key stakeholders
About You We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership and leading successful project teams.
You'll ideally bring:
  • 5+ years' experience delivering commercial construction projects in New Zealand
  • Proven experience managing projects valued at $40M+
  • A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent commercial and financial management experience
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to build strong relationships
