Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We are a predominantly an aged care mental health site, nestled in the vineyards on the outskirts of Brightwater with picturesque countryside views and the Richmond Ranges.

Our six-bed facility is committed to helping our residents lead fulfilling and joyful lives. As a mental health provider, we specialize in supporting older clients with mental health needs.

This is a permanent, part-time position. You’ll work Sunday and Monday, 3pm – 11.30pm, in our Brightwater, Nelson residential service. Preferably you’ll hold the Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification, or equivalent.

You’ll work alongside individuals to support their recovery, enhance their wellbeing, and help them live a meaningful life. This could involve tasks like assisting with meal preparation and cleaning up. It's all about making a positive difference in their lives.

You’ll also

  • Focus on the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice
  • Complete relevant administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, provide effective handovers to the next shift, and support and collaborate with your colleagues
  • Medication support when required

About You | Mōu
You’ll work in a recovery focused way and have impeccable attention to detail. You’ll also

  • Preferably you’ll hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing level 4 (or a recognised equivalent)
  • Preferably you’ll have experience in aged care (but not essential)
  • You’ll also hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate covering units 6400, 6401 and 6402 or be willing to obtain one within 3 months of employment
  • You’ll have a cultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
