Welder / Fabricator
We require a Light Fabricator to join a Christchurch workshop.
This is a hands-on role working on a range of fabrication projects for commercial and industrial clients. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good eye for detail, and enjoys being part of a practical, workshop-based team.
You will be involved in:
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
- Cutting, drilling and preparing materials
- Fabricating light steel, aluminium and sheet metal components
- Operating workshop machinery and hand tools
- MIG welding and assembly work
- Ensuring finished products meet quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
What we're looking for
- Experience in light fabrication or sheet metal work
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- MIG welding experience preferred
- Good attention to detail and workmanship
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
