As a Work Broker, you will play a crucial role in supporting people into employment by engaging with regional employers and industries, identifying employment opportunities, and listing sustainable employment solutions for job seekers.
What you'll be doing | Ko te mahi * Proactively seek out employment opportunities by cold calling, networking, and using your Labour Market knowledge to uncover new opportunities for job seekers. * Profiling job seekers to match them with suitable opportunities while building and maintaining professional relationships with both clients and employers. * Working collaboratively with other areas of MSD to place job seekers into employment. * Leading recruitment efforts for both seasonal and permanent roles, as well as engaging with industries to support recruitment and training programmes. * Engage with employers to understand their workforce needs and tailor your approach to their preferred engagement style. What you'll need to succeed | Ko tō āhua * Proven experience in relationship-building with employers is key. * Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. * Confidence in cold calling and utilising Labour market insights to source employment opportunities. * A focus on results with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, job placement targets and an ability to navigate setbacks. * The ability to identify job opportunities and know what strategies to use to engage employers considering the local labour market. * Flexibility to travel within the region to meet employers as required. Note: This role requires applicants to have a clean Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
