
Automotive Technician

This could be the role that puts you in the driver’s seat. Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join their busy dealership team in Whangārei. The Role
As an Automotive Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable and road-ready. Working within a busy dealership environment, you’ll carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance across a range of vehicles.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and general mechanical repairs
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and accurately
- Conducting inspections and vehicle checks
- Using diagnostic equipment and workshop technology
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Working as part of a supportive and professional workshop team
- Helping ensure customers receive vehicles that are safe, reliable and ready to go
We’re keen to hear from technicians who are qualified, experienced and take pride in their work.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Automotive industry experience, preferably within a dealership or busy workshop
- Relevant automotive qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- A practical, can-do attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
- A current full NZ driver licence
