About the role
We’re looking for a Junior Data Analyst who’s curious, motivated, and excited to learn. You’ll join our central Data & Analytics team and work closely with analysts, data engineer, analytics engineers and business stakeholders across editorial, product and commercial teams.
This role is ideal if you enjoy exploring data, asking questions, and turning numbers into stories. You won’t be expected to know everything — we’re looking for someone who wants to experiment, learn quickly, and make an impact.
You’ll love this role if;
You have previous experience in analysing and optimising product & user behaviour. You are skilled in managing large datasets using SQL and visualisation tools, and you're knowledgeable the developments in AI and how this can lead to better use of data and insights.
You possess a strong desire for knowledge and continuous personal development, aiming to influence strategic decisions directly through data insights.
As a Junior Data Analyst you will;
- Support analysis across audience behaviour, product performance and commercial outcomes
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL and a variety of visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Work with GA4 and other data sources to understand how users interact with our products
- Help uncover patterns, trends and opportunities in messy, real‑world data
- Learn how AI and automation can improve analytics workflows and efficiency
- Collaborate with editorial, product and audience teams to answer everyday questions with data
- Develop your data storytelling skills - explaining insights clearly and confidently
- A strong analytical foundation (through study, training or early career experience)
- Some experience using SQL, GA4, DBT, Python or similar analytics tools
- Interest in statistics, data visualisation or modelling
- Naturally curious mindset - you ask "why?" and enjoy problem solving
- Clear communicator who wants to grow their confidence with stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for learning, experimenting and developing as an analyst
Nice to have: exposure to media data, dashboards, automation or AI assisted analysis - but not required.
- A relaxed working environment with regular socials including a summer festival
- Immediate Community webinars, well-being initiatives and Mental Health First aiders
- 25 days holiday plus a day for your birthday. Our offices will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s which are in addition to your annual entitlement
- Tailored training and development through our Love Learning platform
- A progressive and transparent culture with clear career progression
- Flexible / hybrid working plus early finish Fridays
- Cycle to work scheme
- Enhanced Family Policies including paternity, adoption and surrogacy leave. We also provide a pregnancy loss, fertility, and carers policy
- Competitive pension plans and Life Assurance
- A newly renovated modern office with lots of collaborative spaces
At Immediate, we pride ourselves on our open, inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic culture that empowers our people to thrive and give their best. We care deeply about our people, our local communities and the impact we have on the environment. Our active Diversity & Inclusion network, comprehensive well-being programs, and clear sustainability strategies reflect this commitment.
People are at the heart of our business and creating a diverse and inclusive working environment is important to us. Immediate is an equal opportunities employer. We’ll never treat anyone less favourably because of their sex, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, marital/civil partnerships, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, age, religion or belief or disability. We’re also committed to supporting applications from those who are returning to work following a career break, maternity leave or caring responsibilities.
Immediate is a place you can grow, be supported, and make a difference.
