The Role

The Associate Producer is responsible for assisting and supporting the Executive Producer across overall strategic, commercial, and operational success of TEG Dainty’s theatrical productions. This role bridges the gap between artistic vision and commercial success, overseeing all phases of the production—from pre-production through to the commercial run and tour management. The Associate Producer ensures all production objectives are met on budget and on schedule whilst maintaining the highest standards of production quality and brand integrity for all key stakeholders.

  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance, cost, delivery schedules and contractual compliance.
  • Operational Delivery: Partner with General Management on ticketing strategy, venue negotiations and payroll/accounting functions, and develop and maintain the performance schedule.
  • Governance & Safety: Establish robust operational frameworks including risk management, insurance compliance and Workplace Health & Safety oversight.
  • People & Culture: Provide high-level leadership across recruitment, workplace conduct and EAP standards for the wider production team.
  • Creative & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a secondary point of contact between the creative team and the production company, and support relationships with venue partners, co-producers, investors and industry funding bodies.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the production with unions (e.g. MEAA), theatrical agents and industry associations.
  • Marketing, PR & Merchandise: Support the overall marketing and PR strategy, oversee merchandise delivery, and manage program content and deadlines with suppliers.
  • Events & Experiences: Lead opening nights, special events and VIP experiences – from budget through to execution and financial assessment.
  • Visa, Travel & Accommodation: Manage international visa applications within immigration deadlines, and secure travel and accommodation for cast and crew within budget.

Capabilities to Bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Industry Experience: 3+ years’ experience in General Management, Producing, arts administration or venue administration in theatrical/live entertainment, ideally on large-scale, international-standard productions.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience managing theatre budgets and translating commercial decisions into clear recommendations for Producers and stakeholders.
