About the role:
CHEENU ENTERPRISES PTY LTD is looking for a motivated and dependable Retail Manager to oversee operations at its Subway outlet in Ascot Vale, VIC. This is a full-time role suited to a practical, hands-on professional who excels in a fast-paced quick-service restaurant environment. The role focuses on smoothly running day-to-day store operations while maintaining high standards in customer service, food quality, and team performance. The chosen candidate will oversee store activities, lead and support staff, and work toward achieving financial targets according to Subway’s brand standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing product range, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring consistent food quality and customer service standards within the store.
- Planning and executing purchasing activities, monitoring stock levels, and applying appropriate pricing and promotional strategies.
- Driving local marketing initiatives and in-store promotions to attract and retain customers.
- Assisting customers with orders, providing guidance on menu options, and ensuring accurate and efficient service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock, sales, and financial transactions using store systems.
- Preparing and monitoring budgets, controlling operational costs, and ensuring profitability targets are met.
- Overseeing staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements in Victoria, Australia
What we are looking for
- A relevant qualification, preferably a Diploma.
- Minimum of 1year of experience as a retail manager
- Strong understanding of stock control, budgeting, and cost management practices.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, combined with effective leadership abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, workplace safety, and customer service.
